Catia Pineza is a European certified Orthoptist, member of IOA (International Orthoptics Association). She graduated and received her BSc in Orthoptics from the Lisbon School of Health Technology, in Portugal, with over 15 years of experience working in private practice and in National Health Hospitals in Europe.
She was the lead Orthoptist at Hospital de Cascais where she developed her skills and investigation projects in the diagnosis, monitoring and management of adult and paediatric cases of binocular vision anomalies. She also has experience with ocular motility disorders, strabismus, amblyopia, nystagmus, congenital and developmental ocular abnormalities.
With 5 years of practice within the gulf region, she has worked with children, adults, and other people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or behavioural disorders. Not only doing Orthoptics but also adapting contact lenses, conducting eye exams and Low Vision assessments.
